Arm exercise machine

Various types of exercise apparatuses have been developed over the years to form and tone muscular development of the arm. In general, exercise machines fall into one of two broad groups: machines for exercising multiple pairs of muscles at one time, and machines that exercise only one pair of muscles at a time. The first broad group of machines is frequently referred to as compound machines. The second group is often referred to as isolation machines. Examples of equipment include free weights, nautilus machines, universal machines, etc., where specific areas of the body, such as the arm, can be focused on and exercised to tone and firm a desired muscular group. With regard to devices for strengthening the hands and arms, several such devices are known. In some exercise equipment, the user sits against a back board and brings a pair of mechanical members together by forcing his elbows together. This specific action exercises some muscles of the arm and the chest.
