Pushup stand

The value of exercise and physical conditioning has long been recognized, and has become increasingly important in contemporary, increasingly sedentary society. With the increased emphasis on overall health and conditioning, exercising is one of the foremost hobbies of today's society. In general, exercise is any type of physical activity that employs the muscles of the human body. Exercise can be obtained through sports and other physical activity that works the muscles being inclusive of weight lifting, bicycling and running. Accordingly, schools, various associations and clubs, the military services, etc. require or provide various levels of physical training, conditioning, calisthenics and/or exercise for their members. A classic calisthenic exercise for strengthening and conditioning the upper chest and shoulders is the push-up, wherein a prone person maintains a straight and rigid back posture and line from shoulders to toes and pushes the body upward using his/her arms. Pushups are one of the best exercises for strengthening the triceps, pectorals, and deltoids. Unlike weight training, pushups can be performed without the need for a spotter, and place less stress on the joints. Push-up exercises have several therapeutic and other health and fitness benefits. Push-up exercises are particularly suited to increasing strength and benefiting the cardiovascular system. Since push-ups do not require any exercise equipment, push-up exercises are often recommended to people who do not have any exercise equipment at home and require development of the arms and/or chest. A push-up is an exercise where a person lays prone on a flat surface and pushes himself/herself away from the flat surface using his/her arms.
